University-Industry Collaboration, Building Dreams Together

On 24 June 2024, six students from the Ecological Synthetic Leather Class of the Department of Light Chemical Engineering at Jiaxing University joined us for a three-week production internship. This marked our second university-industry collaboration with Jiaxing University since 2023. Mr Chen Zhaoping, Head of Sustainable Development, warmly welcomed the students and faculty, and held in-depth discussions with Professor Luo Jianxun, Head of the Department, on talent development and future collaboration.

At the orientation session, we delivered an induction safety training, emphasising the principle of "safety first" throughout the internship. Mr Chen also outlined the internship content and job responsibilities in detail. Students were encouraged to integrate their theoretical knowledge with hands-on production practice, learn from frontline technical and management staff, and enhance their practical skills. They were also invited to offer constructive suggestions for our production processes. Following the briefing, the students were divided into groups and began their full internship programme.

We place great emphasis on talent pipeline development. Through university-industry collaboration, we aim to cultivate the next generation of professionals for our company, the industry, and society. We invested significant effort in this internship, continuously improving our planning, safety education, and programme content. Through this internship and ongoing collaboration, we hope to deepen students' understanding of the synthetic leather industry (Lishui New Fashion Industry), build a strong talent pool for our sustainable development strategy, and drive our high-quality, sustainable growth.
